Meet the Quester Community Team

Rousseaux Brasseur
Creator, board president, author

Meet Rousseaux, the Quester himself. Not everyone is gifted with ability to feel at home at all times in overalls and Converse, with a love for memorizing Scripture, and connecting with kids where they are. Rousseaux is also a husband, children’s and family pastor, a Psalmster, and a born adventurer.

Published Works: The Pilgrim’s Progress: A Poetic Retelling of John Bunyan’s Classic Tale and The Good News of Christmas: Celebrating the Glory of Christ’s Birth Story (Harvest Kids Publishing)

Matt Campbell
video director, board member

Matt has been obsessed with film making since he saw “The Fellowship of the Ring” in middle school. He spent his high school years making short films with his friends, one of whom was none other than the Quester himself, Rousseaux. After graduating from George Fox University’s film program, Matt honed his film skills working in-house at several marketing agencies. When he took the position of production manager at The Story, he was reconnected with Rousseaux and began bringing to life The Quester in a feature film and VBS series. Just as Jesus shared stories in parables, Matt believes in the power of sharing stories through film to impact people and share the Gospel.

Michelle M. Erwin
board member

Michelle owns the independent film company, Boto Pruductions Inc. Boto’s most recent film, the documentary, A River Below, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017 and received many awards before its release on Netflix. As Exodus 35: 35 states: “He has filled them with skill as engravers, designers, embroiders, in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers-all skilled workers and designers.” Michelle believes this includes storytellers. Michelle is honored to be part of the Quester Community, where children will learn the greatest stories ever told.

Jessie Witt Pannell
Executive Director

Only God knew that working as a physical therapy office manager, a doula, a house cleaner, an IT tech for a startup internet provider, a non-profit controller, a women’s ministry leader, a chiropractic clinic manager, an elementary school reading coach, a church finance and HR manager, a poet, and a wife and mother of three would (kinda) prepare Jessie to help launch this crazy quest known as The Quester Community. Good thing she has a history degree!
